Project Overview
With over 40 years building experience, Pavement Homes selected Wright Concrete Products to design, supply and fit Precast Concrete Flooring and Stairs for their recent development of apartment blocks in Rathfarnham, Dublin. Much like Wright’s, Pavement Homes are a family owned business and take pride in their attention to detail and craftsmanship, producing some of the finest homes on the market.
Project Solution
The complex consisted of luxury 2 bed apartments and 3 bed duplex apartments featuring balconies and external concrete stairs. With a maximum span requirement of 5980mm, the Wright Engineering Team specified 150mm Pre-stressed Slabs for the first floor of both apartment blocks making use of additional top steel to cater for the cantilever at the gable end wall.
Wright concrete flooring offers better fire, sound and thermal insulation than timber flooring alternatives resulting in increased safety and comfort for the homeowner. The durability of concrete also adds to the market value during re-sale of these houses.
Wright designed, manufactured and supplied CE Certified Precast Concrete Stairs in accordance with EN 14843 along with Bespoke Landing Slabs. A total of 10 flights and 5 landing slabs were provided as access to these modern apartments. The stairs received no further finishes after installation which was made possible through the high quality finish achieved by the production team.
Each block was fitted within 1 day by our expert fitting crew ensuring no delays on site and allowing Pavement Homes to remain on track with this exciting development.
