The Wright AB ECO-Floor enjoyed a successful launch at this year’s National Ploughing Championships. A record breaking number of visitors turned out, with the event attracting 291,500 people to Screggan, Co. Offaly over the three days.
With a busy lead-up to the event, the Wright Quarry Products’ Agri-Precast team enjoyed a lively stand throughout the course of the event. Many farmers, contractors and designers stopped by to see and discuss the latest innovation in livestock flooring from one of Ireland’s leading concrete slat manufacturers.
The ECO-Floor is a hybrid concrete and rubber alternative to the traditional concrete slat. It features approximately 50% rubber and 50% profiled concrete on the top surface with 40mm openings for efficient manure drainage. This combination provides high grip and optimised comfort whilst ensuring cows gain sufficient hoof wear and don’t lie down on the floor.
This flooring solution has been extensively and independently tested and already installed in over 700 dairy farms across Europe.

Visitors stopped by from across the length and breadth of Ireland. Only positive comments were made over the course of the event with farmers recognising the clear benefits the ECO-Floor can offer their farm business. The Wright team were on hand along with Pieter Vos, a European Sales Rep for the ECO-Floor to answer questions and chat through upcoming projects.
With a number of sales already secured, the future certainly looks bright for the ECO-Floor.
